More About Me

SC Singing Realtor

Karen Troost grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. As a child, Karen loved music. She excelled in academics and anything involving violin and singing. She learned at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So she worked hard, earning a bachelor's in music, and two master's degrees-one in Library Science and one in Music-Opera Performance. Over the years, Karen worked in school libraries by day and sang professionally nights and weekends, never wavering in her resolve to become the best version of herself with each career move.

Karen entered the real estate industry when the pandemic hit and it became blatantly apparent that family and home are the most important things in life. She set out to use her research skills to help people find their dream homes and sell their homes to move on to better locations!

Karen Troost is a cat mom who lives in the Summerville area with her husband, Peter and their twin cats: Biscuit and Blue. She also has a stepson, Jacob, who lives in NY; and a stepdaughter, Megan, and granddaughter, Lilliana, who live in NC. In her free time, you can find Karen singing at Grace Church Cathedral in downtown Charleston. Karen Troost aims to provide the highest level of service to her clients and takes deep pride in helping them achieve their real estate goals.
